Just 40 miles southwest of Denver, Staunton State Park is a breathtaking 3,828-acre escape into Colorado’s natural beauty. With elevations ranging from 8,100 to over 10,000 feet, the park offers stunning landscapes that stretch from wildflower-filled meadows to towering granite cliffs.

Staunton State Park has one main public entrance which provides access to the park's main area with a visitor center, visitor parking, and trailhead.

All visitors must pay an entry fee when accessing the park.

Staunton State Park is one of the most accessible parks in the state, especially with their track-chair program.

Weather changes rapidly in the mountains. Please plan ahead and prepare for any inclement weather that may arrive during your visit.

Staunton State Park is open year-round. Inclement weather may prevent access to the park until the entry can be plowed. Trail closures may take place for wildlife protection or area rehabilitation.
