Annual Colorado State Park passes can be purchased online through the Colorado Parks and Wildlife website - here.

Day Entry passes can be purchased at Staunton State Park's entrance station.
Permits Required

Camping: Camping at Staunton State Park requires a reservation, which you can make up to six months in advance at cpwshop.com or by calling 1-800-244-5613. A vehicle pass and a valid reservation are required. Single campsites (up to 6 people) are $28 per night.

Photography Permits: If you're planning a paid photo session at Staunton State Park, such as weddings, senior portraits, or professional headshots, you'll need a $45 photography permit, valid for three months within a calendar quarter. Commercial photographers and videographers must also obtain a special activity agreement permit. For information on special activity agreements, please contact the park by email at staunton.park@state.co.us.

Special Activity Agreements: A Special Activity Agreement may be needed for organized events or unusual activities at Staunton, like races, weddings, group outings, or commercial filming. Please make sure you email the park at staunton.park@state.co.us at least three weeks in advance. Also, please note that fees vary by activity and are set by the park manager.

With views of Lionshead, the Marmot Burrow Amphitheater is ideal for outdoor wedding ceremonies or school groups, open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., accommodating up to 60 guests, with a $10 reservation fee and a $90 per-day charge.

The Visitor Center multi-purpose room, ideal for small indoor gatherings like company meetings, is available Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., accommodates up to 70 guests, and requires a $10 reservation fee plus $150 per day (with additional amenities priced separately).

The Davis Ponds group picnic area, a small pavilion at the Davis Ponds fishing lakes with a beautiful view of Lionshead, is open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., accommodates up to 35 guests, and requires a $10 reservation fee plus $90 per day.

The Ranch Hand group picnic area is ideal for family gatherings and events such as company picnics and wedding receptions, open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., accommodating up to 100 guests with seating for 75, and requiring a $10 reservation fee plus a $160 per-day charge.
