Weather Considerations:

• With elevations between 8,100 and over 10,000 feet, Staunton State Park can experience fast-changing weather. Be prepared for sudden temperature drops, afternoon thunderstorms, and occasional snow, even in late spring or early fall. 
• Dry conditions, especially during spring and summer, increase wildfire danger. Always check for fire restrictions before your visit and follow posted guidelines to help keep the park safe.
