Palisade
Getting Around
You can find Palisade along I-70 at Exit 42. There are many ways to move around Palisade. Active travelers can bike the Fruit & Wine Byway, renting wheels from Palisade Cycle & Shuttle and following the East Cruiser Loop, West Cruiser Loop, or East Orchard Mesa Loop. Downtown is small enough to explore comfortably on foot.
Guided transport is easy, too. Absolute Prestige Limo and other shuttle services drive guests to wineries and sights. You can ride in a pedicab or take a horse-drawn carriage for a slower look at town. Tour companies such as Pali-Tours and Grand Junction Tours run winery outings and history trips.
There's also Uber for point-to-point rides and the Palisade Trolley for a nostalgic trip through town.
Public Transportation
Palisade has the Grand Valley Transit (GVT), which operates fixed-route bus services that connect Palisade with Grand Junction, Fruita, and other parts of Mesa County.
Walkability & Bike Friendliness
Palisade town is relatively small and compact, which makes it easy to move around on a bike or by walking.
