Main Park Entrance (CO-150)
The main entrance to Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve is on State Highway 150 (CO-150). This entrance gives direct access to Visitor Center, Dunes Parking, Piñon Flats Campground, day-use areas, and front-country trails.

This is a seasonal, high-clearance 4WD route with multiple creek crossings that provides access to roadside backcountry campsites and the Sand Ramp Trailhead on the park/preserve side. Tire deflation and 4-Low required in deep sand; water crossings can be impassable at peak runoff.
