Evergreen
Getting Around
Evergreen is a mountain town where the two main highways serving are Highway 74 (Evergreen Parkway) and Highway 73. Highway 74 connects Evergreen to I-70 to the north and Highway 8 near Red Rocks to the east.
Highway 73 connects Evergreen to US Highway 285 to the south. In the town, most people rely on a car (Free public parking is available around downtown and Evergreen Lake).
RTD’s FlexRide dial-a-ride serves a set area when you book in advance, Bustang runs regional buses that link Evergreen to nearby spots, and a few local routes exist but don’t reach every corner of town.
There are seasonal shuttles for special events; otherwise, limited service. Uber and Lyft operate, though wait times can be longer than in a big city, and some hotels or businesses add shuttles for guests. If you’d rather soak up the scenery, a network of trails lets you walk or bike between neighborhoods and main attractions.
Public Transportation
Limited public transit; most visitors use private cars.
Walkability & Bike Friendliness
Downtown is walkable; numerous biking and hiking trails are nearby.
