Regulations & Considerations
Park Rules
Stay on designated roads and trails, obey all posted closures, and park only in signed lots. Pets and other domestic animals are not allowed, except service dogs. Do not swim or wade, launch watercraft, or fly drones. No fires, grilling, camping, or overnight parking. Bicycles are allowed only on designated routes. Hunting is not offered. Always follow speed limits and remain in your vehicle through posted bison zones.
Wildlife Cautions
Give all wildlife plenty of space and never approach or feed animals. Follow posted guidance in bison areas, stay in your vehicle on one-way sections of the drive, and use pullouts to view or photograph animals from a safe distance.
Fire Restrictions
Open flames and grilling are not permitted anywhere on the refuge. Follow any posted fire safety notices and statewide restrictions that may apply during dry periods.
