Getting Around
Manitou Springs is a great walking town; especially the downtown area along Manitou Avenue and near Fountain Creek, which has a plethora of shops and restaurants. The town has free shuttles that run daily, just look for designated shuttle stops with signs. The town also has ride-sharing services (Uber and the like) and is good for biking, with a bunch of PikeRide stations in the town.
Manitou Springs has a number of parking options; Hiawatha Gardens has 155 paid spaces, Canon Lot has 46, on-street parking offers numerous spaces all over town, and Fields Park has free parking. Choose a paid or free space in designated lots or on-street zones; parking is free after 6 pm, and free ADA spaces are available. No visitor parking is allowed on residential streets, and fines are steep.
Public Transportation
The shuttle service operates from Monday to Sunday, 6:00 am to 8:00 pm during the summer, and from Monday to Sunday, 6:00 am to 6:00 pm during the winter.
Walkability & Bike Friendliness
Manitou Springs is very walkable and bike friendly. Because the town gets busy during peak season, it's recommended you find a place to park for the day, then walk or bike around for the remainder of your visit.
