Select climbing faces close seasonally and open again when wildlife nesting is complete. Posted signs at approach trails and online notices guide climbers and hikers. Temporary lane shifts or trail detours may occur during utility and facility projects.

Raptor nesting closures recur on portions of Gray Rock and North Gateway Rock in spring and early summer, and the Tower of Babel area has additional seasonal limits in fall. These closures protect sensitive nesting and roosting sites and are enforced at popular climbing formations.
