To buy an entrance pass, visit nps.gov.
- Entrance to Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park requires a per-vehicle pass costing $30, valid for seven consecutive days, covering all occupants of a private, non-commercial vehicle.
- Motorcycles pay a slightly lower rate of $25.
- Individuals entering on foot or bicycle pay $15 each, up to a maximum of thirty dollars per vehicle equivalent.
- Children aged fifteen and younger are admitted free.
Annual passes are available, including a park-specific annual pass for fifty-five dollars and the universal “America the Beautiful” interagency pass for $80, which grants access to over two thousand federal recreation sites. Commercial tour vehicles and group entries are subject to higher fees scaled by vehicle type or number of passengers.
The park no longer accepts cash. All entrance, camping, and permit fees must be paid via mobile or electronic methods either in advance through Recreation.gov or on site using contactless payment options.
