Barr Lake State Park
Fees & Passes
Getting into Barr Lake is straightforward, and you can choose the pass that fits your plans. For a single visit, a daily vehicle pass covers one vehicle and everyone in it, and an individual daily pass serves walk-in and bike-in entry at select parks. If you plan to visit more than once, statewide annual options are often a better value, especially the resident pass linked to vehicle registration.
Colorado residents can add the Keep Colorado Wild Pass during vehicle registration. It’s a low-cost, twelve-month option that unlocks state park entry for the registered vehicle and supports conservation and outdoor access across the state. You’ll see it right on the DMV registration unless you choose to opt out, and it’s widely considered the best deal for frequent park days.
The daily vehicle pass is for one vehicle and its occupants, while the individual daily pass is for people arriving on foot, bicycle, or horseback where offered.
Eligible veterans have free year-round entry through qualifying plates or the Independence Lifetime Pass, and eligible first responders with disabilities can count on the Blue Spruce Pass. If you’re booking a pavilion or other facilities for gatherings, plan on a reservation plus the required park entry for everyone attending.
